Lebanon Lantern Light Cemetery Tour October 15 2011!
It's approaching ghost and goblin time! The days are shorter, the evenings cooler, the leaves are starting their fall change, and we've seen a few pumpkins here and there! So what better time for a Lantern Light tour of a cemetery?
If the idea appeals to you, mark your calendar for 6:30 to 8 p.m. on October 15th! The Warren County Historical Society is hosting a Lantern Light Cemetery Tour of the Lebanon Cemetery! And for your $20, you get the WCHS Historian and Lebanon expert John Zimkus as a guide. And this isn't just some walking tour with Mr. Zimkus pointing out a few tombstones along the way! No, you're going to meet the "spirits" of 17 prominent past Lebanon citizens thanks to volunteers from the Glendower Historic Characters group! Dressed in character, they'll "bring to life" these historical figures! Now how fun is that?
But here's the deal, this is a LIMITED tour! You can be one of 35 who've reserved and paid for your spot, or you can try again next time! The $20 fee benefits the Warren County Historical Society's Glendower Historic Mansion.
To get your tickets which MUST be purchased in advance, contact the Warren County Historical Society at 513.932.1817 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
FYI, when you go, DON'T park in the cemetery, gates are closing at 6:30 p.m.! Try parking on West Silver street near the Lebanon Cemetery.
We hope you have a great time!
