Our Founding Fathers may have been even smarter than we thought! With a forecast for 93 degrees today in the Cincinnati area, and sunny skies, it's a fantastic (although humid) day to celebrate our country's birth. There are numerous outdoor activities in our area, old rockers to listen to (Peter Frampton and Yes! in Blue Ash), lakes and amusement parks, grilling to do, and tonight, lots of firework displays.
But what if the Continental Congress had decided to wait until December 4th, 1776 to declare independence? How would we celebrate today? Standing in the back yard next to the grill wearing a parka? Snow sledding and ice skating instead of a day at the beach? Indoor concerts rather than open air concerts? On the plus side, fireworks could start at 5 pm since it would already be dark!
However you decide to celebrate today, we hope you have a Safe and Fantastic Fourth of July!
And remember, it could have been different!
