June 2010 "A Team You Can Believe In"
June is upon us already! And it's been a very pleasant arrival. We know the latter of May was a little slow market wise. But, as the weather has gotten hotter so has the market. The first two weeks of June have been very busy. Listings are getting showings, and there are serious buyers house hunting again. We are hearing rumblings of interest in properties and contracts being written. June is off to a great start and we hope to see the market and activity stay on a roll.
We completed the 40'x28' cat enclosure for our cats. They LOVE it! I haven't been able to take any pictures yet though. It was completed over a weekend and the following Tuesday I ended up having my first root canal. Ouch! So, it was all I could muster to take them out and put each one individually in the enclosure for a few days and to get the newsletter finished. I watched through the window has they did little kitty burns outs around corners, stalked and pounced on each other, checked out the turtle 'sandbox' with removable lid, the carpeted platform Bill made them to lay on off the ground and as a one of them climbed the fence to check out the mesh top Bill had attached so that can't get out and nothing can get in. It's amazing to me that the birds know the cats can't out after them and the Robins hunt for worms etc right next to the enclosure. The cats just stare bug-eyed and tails are whipping. But, they are enthralled and watch the bird until it flies away. When Bill got home from the office he helped me greatly by bringing each one back in. [With the exception of Oliver as he has never allowed Bill to handle him.] I'll take photos next issue and show you the cats new digs. I had better take the photo before the second root canal the dentist says needs to be done.
Luckily, Bill and I had planted our tomato plants before my dental experience. So they are growing by leaps and bounds. We planted Heirloom tomatoes, yellow and beefsteak, cherry tomatoes, Parkers Whoppers and some jalapeno plants. I have also been testing to see how green my thumbs are by planting flower seeds this year. To my amazement [from past experiences I thought my thumbs were the opposite of green...] I now have a crop of little pots filled with snap dragon, holly hock, wild Maine lupine, gaillardia and clematis seedlings. Now I need get them mature/large enough that I can put them in the ground and not have insects or small mammals eat them up. I guess they are extra tasty and tender when they are small, huh?! :)
I would like to thank all of you who have or continue to pray for my brother John. He continues to do marvelously and receives clear and stable MRIs every two months. God is watching and listening. I thank Him and most assuredly you that have presented my brother's name before our Father.
If you hear of anyone interested in buying or selling a home please tell them about us. We'll be glad to help them! We're never too busy for your family and friends!
Until next month... All our best, Liz & Bill
