Do It Right The First Time And They'll Be Back!
We're in a business where "just good enough" is NEVER good enough if we want repeat business. Do we want our buyers and sellers talking to their friends and neighbors and relatives and saying "Yeah, BLiz got the job done, but they didn't seem any different than any other agent we've ever worked with. Meh....". Faint praise will NOT get more business for us will it?
So what we know is we HAVE to take care of our clients. Respond to them, keep them informed. Head off the obstacles we can, knock down the ones we can't preempt and make it happen as smoothly as possible for our clients, even it that means we're taking some lumps and bumps along the way.
And what can be the end result of that effort? A happy client, a long relationship and one long string of closings.
Last Friday we helped our buyers close on this piece of country heaven for them. Four acres of Little Miami River frontage property:
You know how rare that is to get around here? Extremely. Our contract managed to get in and accepted before it was someone else's home (another perk of playing well with other agents over the years and having their respect). And we've got to say we absolutely LOVE working with this family!
We first met them in 2007 when we listed their home as a result of our Expired mailings. We sold their home in early 2008 while it was off the market temporarily. You have to love when past marketing helps you sell a home that isn't even "on the market"!
After that, they helped spread the word about us:
We listed and sold Mrs. Seller's sister's home.
We listed and sold a co-worker's home.
We listed and sold another co-worker's home.
And last week they completed the purchase of the home above for their country retreat.
So if anyone wonders why we try to take that extra step to keep our clients happy? The results are right there. One good deed/deal leads to another, and another, and another.
We don't ever want to be the agents that past clients are TRYING to remember the name of while they're talking to another agent about listing their home. You know you've heard it, "Hey, Ethel, what was the name of the agent that helped us buy this place??".
