Warren County Ohio Halloween Trick or Treat Times 2014
Just a week (or less) to go before it's Candy-Palooza in Warren County neighborhoods! The kids will be totally running amuk in search of the homes that give out full size candy bars and not those teeny weeny "fun size" (FUN??? Are you kidding me??) treats!
Now the kids may still be trying to decide what costume they're going to wear, but the local cities and townships have already prepared for Halloween by setting the standard times for trick or treating in their areas (more on that later)
And while Halloween is still fun, I'll say it's not quite the same as when we were kids. The rules have changed. No more homemade treats, candy needs to be individually wrapped or there's a solid chance Mom or Dad are going to throw in straight in the garbage can when litte Missy and Junior get home.
Stick with the usual safety rules. It's getting dark around 7 so make sure the kids are visible (reflective material is a good thing!). Flashlights are a good idea too! I know we've been out showing homes on Halloween before, and it's just not something I want to do again! We all know the kids ARE NOT focused on watching for cars when they're probably seriously sugar buzzed from some of the candy they're eating before they get home!
Now the critical info, what TIME is the "official" trick or treat times for your Warren County community? (and we'll throw in some bordering Butler County communities for good measure). This year not all towns are on Halloween night, so make sure you have the date right before you and the kids head out!
Thursday night, October 30th:
5:00 - 7:00: Middletown
6:00 - 8:00: Carlisle, Franklin Township
Friday night, October 31st:
5:30-7:30: Lebanon, Monroe, South Lebanon, Turtlecreek Township
5:30 - 8:00: Goshen Township
6:00-8:00: Butlerville, Clearcreek Township, Deerfield Township, Franklin, Hamilton Township, Harlan Township, Liberty Township, Loveland, Maineville, Mason, Morrow, Pleasant Plain, Salem Township, Springboro, Union Township, Wayne Township, Waynesville, West Chester
We hope you and your kids have a great time, and don't forget to exact the "parent inspection tax" on the treats before your kids start eating them!
