Our market area new construction was going great in the mid 2000's, with excavators, carpenters, roofers and the like putting up new homes galore! And then the faucet essentially turned off as the economy drifted south. A few new homes here and there, but with prices falling putting up new no longer made sense for many builders and buyers. Some builders didn't make it through the lean period, others got leaner and stronger, buying up the options of other builders.
And yesterday it was quite apparent that new construction is back in a big way in the Springboro/Washington Township/Centerville area, and there's a bit of something for everyone!
Want a pool community? Fischer Homes is quite busy with The Springs at Settlers Walk (BLUE pin on map). There are two sections, The Falls and The Brooks, with The Falls exclusively ranch style homes. They're perfect if you don't want to spend a lot of time on lawn maintenance. The Brooks has primarily two story homes with the occasional ranch. Although a few plans start at $150k, expect to be in the $200's and $300's. Fischer offers a wide variety of floor plans for The Springs at Settlers Walk.
Want a true patio home? Gold Key Homes is almost done with Somerset (just off Sheehan Rd) (RED pin on map). Unusual about Somerset is there are a decent number of two story patio homes. Those are pretty rare in our market! The inside finishes are nice and we're sure you'll like not having to mow, rake or shovel!
And if golf course living appeals to you, Charles Simms Development is putting up some phenomenal landominiums called The Cottages at The Highlands of Yankee Trace (GREEN pin on map)! A duplex style home with two car attached garages and 2 or 3 bedroom plans available. Plans range in size from 1513 to 2072 square feet. This will be a small community, with just 20 home sites available.
