Waynesville Ohio is ready to crank up their largest annual event, the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival!  The streets of downtown Waynesville will be thronged shoulder to shoulder as folks check out the 45th edition of the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival!

You won't believe just how many ways sauerkraut can be incorporated into food!  That's right, it's not just for hotdogs!are out to prove that sauerkraut isn't just for hot dogs!  You may find sauerkraut ice cream, cookies, and who knows what else might make an appearance this year?

And if sauerkraut isn't actually your thing, how about the literally hundreds of vendors that will be at the festival?  With arts and crafts from throughout the country, and screened by the selection committee to make sure they're handcrafted and not some off the shelf kitsch!

This year's event is scheduled for October 11th & 12th.  Saturday hours are 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Now one thing to keep in mind, Parking!   You MIGHT find a place in one of the neighboring areas, but you might spend a lot of time looking for an elusive place to park. The far easier thing to do is go to Wayne Local High School on Dayton Road.  The Athletic Boosters will be running shuttle buses back and forth, and this will make your day FAR easier!

A couple of other things to consider:  rain or shine, this event happens!  And don't bring your pets!  Service animals only please!  And no alcohol either, helping make sure the event stays family friendly.

How do you get to the Sauerkraut Festival?  It's actually pretty easy!  From I-71, take SR73 west about four miles.  From I-75, take SR73 east about 15 miles.  Since RT 42 comes through, you've got other options from the north and south sides.

For more information about the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival click the link to visit the official site!  We are NOT the hosts of the event, just local RE/MAX agents who like to promote family friendly events in our area!

We hope you have a great time!
