Natorp's Nursery Outlet Sale

Natorp's Nursery Outlet Fall Sale September 4 to October 19 2014

If you're like us, you made a few runs to Natorp's Nursery Outlet for their Spring sale.  A couple of SUV loads later we had another 50 flowers in our gardens, repairing the damage from that bitter Winter!  Half our lavenders got whacked by Jack Frost, two butterfly bushes and some other plants that remain nameless, but they became desolate springs of brown and not much else thanks to all that below zero chills.  So our flower gardens are now healed and full of bright blooms, BUT we still have room for more flowers!

So the return of  Natorp's Nursery Outlet for the Fall Sale is coming at the right time!  They're is opening for their annual Fall sale September 4 to October 19 2014!

They'll be open Thursday to Sunday each week so you'll have plenty of time to pick from their HUGE selection.  If you want it and it can be grown in southwest Ohio, chances are they'll have it!  And plenty of staff in the aisles to help you make the decisions to pick the right plants for your type soil, sun or shade, deer resistance, etc.

Got bugs or plant disease?  They can help you fight those off too!  Bring a picture of the problem to help them troubleshoot!

Natorps Outlet SalePlant prices vary but you can expect a nice discount off normal prices.  And they also run specials, so you might find some great buys at $5 for gallon perennials!

BLiz, Fall is a great time to do some planting! Natorp's Nursery Outlet sounds like the place to go to find the right trees, shrubs and perennials!

Tom, I suspect we'll be out there before long for another load of flowers.  And Liz wants to move some of our existing around, so it's a good thing I've got a good sized wheelbarrow!

Yep!  THIS is the time to buy those costly perienals to fill in our landscaping.

At this time of the year, you can buy more than you need.  Let's face it, the likelihood of everything surviving is, for me, remote.  Buy and plant a few extra to compensate for the ones that may be lost.

Last winder was very rough on landscaping in this area.  Fortunately, although I lost a number of shrubs, I still have enough that no one would notice.

Lenn, Last winter was by far the worst for cold temps in the 23 years we've lived here.  A bunch of days in the minus mid teens, and quite a few plants were only rated to -0 or -10, so we went down enough to off them permanently.  Others were stunted but returned.

Stunned but returned.  Same here.  I was prepared to pull and dispose of many more than I actually lost.

My handyman kept saying.  I think this one can make it.

Well, he was right for quite a few.  Patience is required.  Once spring sprung, new shoots came out all over.

BLiz: This is always the fun part of gardening for me...going and getting new plants and finding the perfect spot for them in the yard.

Hi Bliz - We love the fall sales, mainly because the trees are usually heavily discounted, and we can always use a tree or two. We're definitely up for this one, since we have to replace a large aspen (that never should have been planted at this low altitude).

I sure wish i was closer, i love going to the nursery and i love sales.  Have a good night

Lenn, We were fortunate overall.  Some of the rose bushes took a hit, but they did recover.  Hopefully this winter is milder.

Anita, I don't mind the picking them out, it's the digging the holes that I'm not a big fan of!

Dick, We haven't done much with trees, mostly sticking to azaleas and smaller.

Scott, It's a huge place, literally 1,000,000 plants on the premises.

Bliz, this is a great time to get bulbs, grass seed and those items to get ready for fall.   Nice shout-out for Natorp's Nursery!

Joan, We tend heavily towards gallon size perennials and the occasional rose bush or other shrub.  We did some heavy bulb planting 2-3 years ago.

Tom is the gardner in our family and loves to take advantage of these sales. Natorp's Nursery Outlet sounds like his kind of place.

Good morning BLiz. We started to stock up yesterday, as I took the day off. This is the time of the year that we start getting new plants in the ground and keep them well wateredso they look great in the spring.

Tammie, He'd probably be wandering the aisles for hours!

Joe, I've got a long weekend, so I'm actually a bit glad that they're not open until next weekend so I can have a bit of a planting break.  We actually put another 50+ flowers in the ground in July and early August.  We hired a landscaping company to come in and edge our beds and finish the mulching in August.  It's the most finished our flower gardens have ever looked.
